We are in the process of transforming our playground into a Natural Playscape. This area used to have a plastic slide and climbing structure. It has since been replaced with a horse for the children to ride on, along with a log balancing path (not seen). The horse is constructed from a tree so the children named him "Tree". The saddle was purchased at a flea market. It took awhile to find a saddle at a reasonable price. The tail is an old mop head. We cover this up with a grill cover at night to help preserve the saddle. The shrubbery in the middle of the picture is Thorn-less Blackberry bushes. There are decorative grasses on either side of the blackberries.
